2022 BMW 5 Series Gas Mileage

Which BMW 5 Series is the Most Efficient?

If you’re interested in reducing your fuel costs and getting more enjoyment out of your daily drives, a plug-in hybrid model is definitely the way to go. Although any year could be a good pick, the 2020 BMW 530e Sedan is actually the most efficient of the bunch. You’ll get 69 MPGe running on gas and electricity together, but you can also drive for up to 21 miles on electricity alone—or slightly less, with xDrive AWD.

If you like the 5 Series but you’d also consider an EV, it’s worth it to take a closer look at the new BMW i4 before you make a final decision.
