The base-level BMW X4 powertrain is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque—and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive comes standard across the lineup. Upgrading to the M40i will net you a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo with 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque—enough to make any Thousand Oaks drive more exhilarating. The range-topping X4 M goes even further; its own twin-turbo i6 delivers 473 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque—along with a 3.9-second 0–60 time.

You’ll have 18.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 50.5 cubic feet behind the first. In the first row, the driver and passenger will enjoy 40.3 inches of headroom and 40.7 inches of legroom. Those seated in the second row will have 35.5 inches of legroom—more than enough to remain comfortable on longer drives through Malibu.
